Simone Bodmer-Turner is a truly inspiring ceramic artist who focused on ancient hand-built techniques and forms from traditional pottery communities around the world. She works exclusively with coils and slabs, a method she developed while living in Japan. Japanese fundamentals of Wabi-sabi and the appreciation of age, imperfection, and unpretentious rawness helped Simone find freedom and life in her work. A beautiful work.

About one month ago we were visiting the inspiring and one of a kind Noguchi Museum in Queens, New York. What a beautiful combination! There you have, Noguchi's work, each piece of art displayed in the museum serving as a perfect complement to each single crafted piece of clothing of The Row's collection. Bravo!

PLY KNITS is a beautiful collection of uncomplicated and timeless knit pieces by Carolyn Yim who took her family business in Hong Kong and is turning it into this super hyped brand. This season's campaign has an ultra feminine approach inspired by the work of great photographers such as Vivian Maier, Lee Miller and Dora Maar and although the photographs are inspiring and a piece of art themselves the pieces and collection remain classic and minimal. Easy and luxurious.
